Re-enrollment 2019-20 School Year

Please complete the online re-enrollment form for your child(ren) at https:// yswpcs.schoolmint.net/signup . It is our policy that current scholars will keep their seats in the school until they graduate, provided they submit a re-enrollment form by March 1, 2019. The re-enrollment period starts on Jan 1, 2019 and ends on March 1, 2019.

Failure to submit a re-enrollment form by the deadline (March 1st) will result in the student losing his/her guaranteed spot for 2019-20 School Year. If the re-enrollment form is submitted after March 1st, the student will be entered into the open enrollment pool of applicants for lottery, a random selection method, or enrollment on a first-come, first- served basis. For more information on student enrollment procedures, please visit our website at https://yswpcs.org/admission-procedures/ .

If you have any siblings that will be attending YSWPCS in the fall, please complete an online application for this child, making sure to click on SIBLING PREFERENCE. Siblings of current students will have a preference to available seats for the following school year.

Being able to anticipate numbers of new and returning students in each grade allows us to make preliminary plans with respect to space and staffing requirements for the coming year. Please let us know if you don’t have internet connectivity and contact the school if you have any questions at 412-668-2064 or info@yswpcs.org.

Veterans Day

Young Scholars of Western Pennsylvania Charter School hosted its annual Veterans Day celebration honoring veterans and active duty military personnel. We were excited to be able to serve our honored guest’s lunch and have an assembly in their honor. The band played and middle school students sang the star spangled banner to kick off the assembly. Each veteran was introduced and thanked. The veterans were given time to interact with the students. Each grade level personally met and spoke with three different veterans throughout the afternoon in their classroom. Today was a day to honor our veterans, as well as give the students an opportunity to learn more about what it means to be a veteran and serve our country.
