On Monday, May 13th, nine students from grades four through eight represented YSWPCS in a Math 24 competition in Ellwood City, PA.  Our students have been working hard for several months to prepare for this competition, and we are very proud of them!  The tournament consisted of over 100 students from other districts across Western PA, and we are happy to announce that Abubekir Hatam took 4th place for the fourth-grade division, and Jayvon Williams placed in 3rd for the eighth-grade division.  Congratulations gentlemen!  On Tuesday, May 14th, five of our middle school students participated in Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (AIU5) Math 24 competition in Edinboro, PA.  This was a very difficult competition, and we are excited that Jayvon Williams took 3rd place in the 7th/8th-grade division. Thanks to all parents and students who were part of this journey and good luck to all scholars for next year!
