Young Scholars students in all grades had a chance to make a difference for our planet Earth. All classrooms got to participate in the Earth Day Celebration decorating contest! Each classroom had to create original decorations related to Earth Day. All classes had such wonderful displays, so it was decided that all classrooms had won the competition! They were all creative and innovative decorations! Students in grades 3-5 had an opportunity to clean up around the school. Students in grades K-2 had a field trip to the local park, Armstrong Park. Students got to plant beautiful flowers, and clean up around the park. A special thanks goes out to PennDOT for donating the gloves, vests, and garbage bags for the cleanup activities. Their donations were put to good use and were greatly appreciated! Another special thanks goes out to the PTO Beautification Committee for helping to organize some of these wonderful activities! YSWPCS is so grateful for the PTO Beautification Committee’s support of the Earth Day activities. As a school we will not stop here, we will strive to continue to clean up and make a difference for our Earth! Young Scholars have truly succeeded in making a part of our planet Earth a better place to live!
